Market Surveillance Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the market inspection of the Federal Administration for Inspection Affairs completed the market surveillance of hand-held electric drills as a part of the joint surveillance action of CEFTA member states.
Market surveillance of hand-held
electric drills was carried out in accordance with the Order on the safety of
machinery (Official Gazette of BiH, 04/10) and harmonized BAS standards. The
surveillance was carried out by the Agency and the competent inspection
authority in 2024.
The objective of the joint market
surveillance was to determine whether the hand-held electric drills that are
available on the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina are safe for consumers to use.
During the implementation of proactive
surveillance, 99 hand-held electric drills were destroyed.
