At the request of Market Surveillance Agency of BiH, authorized Samsung distributor in BiH announced free home-visit and repair program for certain models of Samsung fridge-freezers.

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE ON SAMSUNG RS21 FRIDGE-FREEZERS

SAMSUNG Electronics Vienna Office announced a programme to visit the homes of customers to resolve an issue identified in certain now-discontinued RS21 range fridge freezers, manufactured between March 2005 and June 2006.

SAMSUNG Electronics has decided to take this action after concluding that in a minority of cases the models’ defrost system may require repair to put right a defect in its assembly. In very rare cases, there is the potential for internal sparking to occur and in consequence, damage to the appliance.

Although the possibility of this occurring is very low, for the safety of consumers, Samsung has decided to undertake a free in-home inspection and repair programme for all affected fridge freezers. As part of the programme, Samsung will also include fridge freezers with a similar defrost system as a precautionary measure. The extended models include: RS60 and RS23.
